Obituary of Bill Peters

Bill Peters, strong, kind, dedicated, friend, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away March 16, 2022 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre.

Bill’s love of driving coupled with his sales position at C. T. Loewen and Sons and as an insurance adjuster with Red River gave him great joy. He loved to stop by at his sisters place for a visit and a cup of coffee. His ability to just stop by, give a word of wisdom and be on his way was special to the many lives he touched.

In his retirement Bill LOVED his yard. It was truly his pride and joy. It was common to see him on hands and knees crawling on the lawn picking out any imperfection he could find! Mowing the lawn was a daily task! He would sit in his chair and gesture to his beautiful yard with great pride. Bill found the love of his life in Mary. He adored her and loved her deeply every day of his life. Mary lovingly cared for Bill with great strength, energy, and tenderness until he took his last breath and smiled as he saw Jesus.

Bill, 82 years of Steinbach, is dearly remembered by his loving wife Mary, their children Cheryl Peters, David (Lorna) Peters and Tamara Fleming, one sister, two brothers and their spouses, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his two sons-in-law, three brothers, and two sister-in-law.

The public livestreamed funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with a viewing held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. 

Interment will take place at Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
