Hi Bill and family. I was shocked to hear of Anne's passing yesterday. Anne's was a beautiful person inside and out. After finishing Cosmetology, Anne was my first boss. Needless to say, I was a severe rookie and Anne took me under her wing with such kindness and care. She always seemed more like a friend and an encourager than a boss. We had so much fun at The Class Cut in Brandon, MB. Anne being a trendsetter did these amazing hair shows that second to none. I would say Anne was the best boss/friend I have had. One funny story. Anne came with me to my dad's farm to drop off her Dalmatian dog. Dad being a meat farmer offered Anne a huge beef sandwich which she was too kind to refuse. We laughed all the way home.
I send love and prayers to Bill and all the family. Cindy-Lou Burton (Shoemaker)

I was a long standing and frequent customer of Anne’s Wpg Salon and every time I saw her she was bright and cheerful. She lent an ear to all those with troubles and offered good advice when asked. I was devastated to hear the sad news of her going into hospital and deeply saddened at her passing. A true light of love has left this earthly plain but will forever shine bright above. She will be dearly missed❤️

What a beautiful lady she was!! She not only devoted her life to making people feel beautiful but she had a natural way to make you feel special as well. Thank you for everything you put up with from us bonus kids. I promise I sit still in The hair chair now. Haha. You really will be missed especially by your kids and grandkids and Bill. My favorite memory of you is every time that I would come to any kind of family event you would be the first person to walk up to me, Smiling and happy to see me.You always made me feel Welcome.

My heart has hurt so much for you Bill and family. There is nothing that prepares us for such pain as losing someone we love so quickly. Anne was truly a lot very beautiful soul. I met her years ago at the Labroquerie gas station. She was my husbands hair stylist. He would come home and say , I want you to meet her. She’s such a nice lady. When I met her I saw the gift she had of making others feel comfortable and special. I later had the privilege of becoming Bill and Annes Realestate agent. What a privilege they both were to work with. They worked so well together, Bill keeping things perfect at home and having her dinner ready when she came home from a long day . They were a great team , I could see. Anne seemed to have so many people who loved her yet always made time for one more. I remember her calling me a few weeks before my wedding 3 years ago and asking me if she could do my hair for me for my special day. And of course she said, “it’s my gift to you” . She talked about her family every time you were with her . She will be missed by so many. The gift she leaves us with is , The measures of our grief is by the abundance of our Love Anne was Loved !! My thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort are with your family as you continue your journey with so many special memories.

I met Anne in 1976 when she started her first job as a Hair stylist, and we were friends right from that first day.
Anne was my Best friend! We went on numerous vacations together along with our friend Maria. We were the 3 Amigos, especially when we were vacationing in Mexico! We all loved our Mexican trips! I'm sure all of Anne's customers heard the stories over and over again.
When us girls would go away to Victoria beach for the weekend, we would sit in the gazebo and drink wine, eat lots, tell stories and laugh all weekend!
It was the Best time! We always looked forward to going to the cottage.
I still am in shock that we lost Anne, Anne was the best friend a person could ever hope for. She was kind and thoughtful to everybody. She helped me in so many ways and was always there for me when I needed her. Recently there was a family tragedy happen in my life and Anne was there right away offering her help and worrying about me. I loved Anne and I will miss her everyday. I will never forget her or her kindness Ever! I am so fortunate and blessed to have had Anne as my Best friend for 46 yrs. I know in my heart I will be with my friend again sometime in the future, and we will be...drinking wine, eating lots and laughing till we cry!
My condolences to you Bill and your entire family, I'm so, so sorry we lost her.

Our sincere condolences are sent to Bill and their children/grandchildren as well as Kim, Rick & Aunt Sara.
We feel so fortunate in that we had a chance to visit with Anne at Rick's place this past summer. It had been decades since seeing each other. We had such nice chats catching up a bit.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family at this very difficult time.

Anne was a beautiful person in every way. She had a smile that would light up the room and make everything a little better. For the past 40 years I was lucky enough to see Anne every three weeks, not only for a fabulous haircut, colour or style, but for a great conversation with a really good friend. We commiserated over our kids hijinx, cheered each other on through the latest fad diet, and laughed at our husbands crazy ideas! Anne was part of our family tapestry. Celebrating all the graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and grandchildren. We shared so many life moments, it’s surreal to think that that is in the past.
Myself, my husband Geoff, my sons Bryn and Cam, loved and adored Anne. We miss her every day.
We send much love and big hugs to Bill, Jazmyn, Zak, Liam and their families.
Thinking of you everyday, with our hearts full.

Whenever I came into the salon to see my daughter Sara, either to get my hair done or just to drop something off, Anne always had a bright beautiful smile and a greeting. She would usually share something with me about Sara, how she was doing, something silly she had done, something that let me know she was doing good. It was such a comfort, one Mother to another. I never realized until this minute how much it meant to me or how much I will miss that greeting !

I have to tell this story about the woman I loved since the day I met her and now have lost so very unexpectedly, I love her more everyday and told her so everyday.
After 51 yrs with my best friend I am just completely heart broken and trying
to take it minute by minute.
We really were one whole person in everything we did right to the end and after the kids said their goodbyes with her I stayed by her to the very last breath and heart beat.
I held her and placed my hand on her chest and my head on her arm and watched her take every breath for 3 and a half hours until her last breath left her body.
It was horrific and the most beautiful thing to experience all in one moment.
I reminisced with her stories about all the special moments in our time together
and told her I loved and that it was ok to go.
Without her I feel so lost and hollow , truly understanding what it means to have a broken heart.
But I had the pleasure of loving my best friend for practically my entire life through 51 yrs, 3 wonderful children and 6 grandchildren with one more on the way.
Anne would have really been angry to not be here to welcome the newest addition to our family.
It is very wrong that she went the way she did and I will never get over this, but we always said we would be there in the end right to the last heartbeat and the last breath and it was a beautiful privilege to be in that position to experience it all.
She was such a social person and we both truly loved friends and clients and family but I was always the more private and comfortable with being alone working at home but always did enjoy family events and visiting some of our close friends.
I apologize to all of you if I do not reply to your condolences and kind words, I just need time and I do appreciate your words of compassion and empathy.
I will leave you now with one thing most of you did not know about our wonderful relationship.
We were together for 51 yrs and I really thought when I first saw her I wanted to marry her and since then we were married and renewed our vows with ceremonies two more time and I asked to do it again on our last anniversary, and she said yes, unfortunately will not fulfill that date.
Every night when she was ready for bed we had a routine of turning down the covers getting her into her side of the bed, tucking her under the covers and kiss goodnight and tell each other how much we loved each other.
On occasion’s when one of the grandchildren came for a sleep over I would recite and little made up nursery rhyme. It was something she loved to hear, and it was the second last thing I said to her.
Princess Anne, Princess Anne your the fairest in all the land and in all the land there is no one as fair as you, just you alone that’s who. Unless the Princess Izzy , Princess Layla , Princess Scottie, Princess Nicole, Princess Pamela or the Princess Jazmyn comes to visit, because they are much younger and fairer than you. She would laugh and the little ones would laugh.
The last thing I said to her was I will love you and never forget you forever and a day sweetie and it’s ok to go.
Thanks
Bill
