Obituary of Yesenia Isabel Doerksen

Yesenia Isabel Doerksen, age 4, passed away peacefully, following a lengthy illness, with her parents by her side on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at her home.

She is survived by her parents Albert & Annie and three sisters.

She was predeceased by her older sister Yessica Doerksen.

Yesenia was born with a rare genetic disorder, leaving her disabled and unable to speak.  She was sick most of her life and had many hospital stays, until she was put on end-of-life care.  She was a very happy and fun-loving girl when she was not sick. Even though she could not speak, she was very good at communicating her wants.  She loved her family and brought lots of joy into our lives.

The funeral service will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., at the New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
