Obituary of Betty (Friesen) Bryan

Betty (Friesen) Bryan, age 67, of Steinbach, MB., passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at the St. Boniface Hospital.

She is greatly missed by her loving husband Bill, her dear daughter Vanessa, grandsons Riley (partner Samantha), Jordan and granddaughter Trinity. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Mary (Abe) Martens, sister-in-law Helen Friesen and many nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her parents Jake and Helen Friesen, brother Jake Friesen, sister and brother-in-law Helen and John Voth. 

Betty grew up in the Steinbach area and was the youngest of four siblings. She excelled at her jobs of taking care of special needs adults in both Steinbach and Winnipeg.  

Betty married the love of her life, Bill Bryan in 1999 and they had 23 years together. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and was a big part of their lives. She was an avid reader until her eyes started failing. Despite many challenges in her life, she had a stubborn resolve to keep going and not give up. We are thankful that her suffering is over and that she is in heaven with Jesus.   

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB. 

Cremation has taken place. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty may be made to Birchwood Funeral Chapel, to help the family cover funeral expenses.
