Obituary of Kailer Mikael Rogal

A restless soul, now at peace.  Kailer Mikael Rogal, age 19, from Steinbach, MB.  Passed away suddenly on the morning of Thursday, December 15, 2022, at his Winnipeg residence.

Kailer is survived by his parents Mike and Lisa Rogal, his siblings Kaleb, Kayden and Kianna Rogal, his paternal grandparents Don and Susan Snyder, his maternal grandfather Cornie Dueck, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Kailer was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandmother Esther Dueck.

We received our GIFT Kailer, who was born at the St. Boniface Hospital, on August 17, 2003 - the first of four children born to Mike and Lisa.  His childhood was filled with wonder and adventures.  Kailer enjoyed learning as much as possible about the world around him.  He had a brilliant mind and was always solving puzzles and riddles.  Kailer grew up surrounded by adoring parents, doting grandparents, siblings who looked up to him and always a pet or two in the house.

At the age of three, things began to become chaotic for Kailer.  He began to exhibit personality changes, which affected both his school and social activities in a very negative way.  Due to his increasing struggles, Kailer received numerous diagnosis throughout the years, including ADHD, ODD and CD.

Through all this, Kailer had a deep love for people, and made an effort to notice and care for those in any type of need - be it a senior trying to cross the street or a thirsty construction worker on a hot summer day.  Kailer had a heart for service, and would gladly offer whatever he had in order to help someone else.

Kailer gave his life to Christ at the age of ten.  This is a relationship he strived to protect for the rest of his life.  Knowing he had the God of the universe on his side meant everything to Kailer, especially on those days when he felt no self worth.

As we slept, Kailer closed his eyes for the last time and slipped peacefully from this life into the next.  Though we grieve the loss of an absolutely incredible boy, we take comfort in knowing that he is finally at peace in the arms of his precious Saviour.  We mourn your absence, but rejoice in your freedom.

We would like to take this time to honour Don and Susan (Kailer’s paternal grandparents) for opening their home to Kailer on numerous occasions when he needed a place to stay.  Your love and devotion is more of a blessing than we can express.

Thank you as well to anyone who showed love to Kailer in any capacity during his life.  To a soul in pain, compassion is everything.
