Obituary of Norbert Neveux

Norbert, Dad, Pepère passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2023, after a battle with cancer. 

Norbert will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Marie, son Michel (Patty), daughter Joanne and granddaughters Ashley and Nikki, his loving sisters Louise, Simone, Edithe, Gabrielle and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter Nicole, parents Wilfred and Jeanne (Nault), brothers Raymond and Maurice, and sisters Corine, Diane, and Carmelle. 

Norbert was born on October 26, 1940, in St-Pierre-Jolys, Manitoba. Norbert retired from the Red River School District, where he worked as the mechanic for the school buses. He was very much an outdoors person; he loved camping, fishing, and hunting with family and friends. Marie and Norbert sold their home and moved to St-Pierre Manor, where he continued to love gardening and feeding the birds and wildlife. Other hobbies he found were reading and learning family history, the Metis and Indigenous history and cleaning and repairing headstones in the old RC Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Centre medico-social De Salaberry District Health Centre staff and the Palliative Team in St-Pierre-Jolys for their loving care and family support. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.

Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Pierre Roman Catholic Church, St. Pierre-Jolys, MB, led by L'abbe Paulin Akpapupu.
