We have fond memories of working together with Dan and Helen at our church in High Level. We always appreciated
your steadfast commitment to the LORD.
Our thoughts are with all of you, and may you sense the presence of the Lord especially at this time.

I am so thankful for Aunt Helen and her cheerful, get it done attitude! I am also so thankful to have spent time at her house, going out for lunch and connecting via texting over the last few years. God bless you and comfort you all as you walk through this time of grief and sorrow.

There are many great memories I have from staying at uncle Dan and aunt Helen’s house. Their house was one of my favourite places to go when they lived in Hinton. Not only did I enjoy going with my family but as a teenager they even welcomed my friends and I to stay there while we enjoyed hiking in the area. Auntie Helen was always so welcoming and hospitable! Her sweetness and uncle Dan’s amazing sense of humour made every visit a great one!!

I will always remember my auntie Helen for her easy, beautiful laugh and her gentle but steadfast faith. If she ever had a day that was bad enough to erase the smile from her face, I was never witness to it. For some reason a specific memory that comes to mind is the first time I remember seeing her with her hair dyed brown in a bit of a longer style. Auntie Helen’s hair was always short and grey and wasn’t supposed to be any other way! But, as always, it was very neatly styled and I grew in to that new picture of her. It will take some time to grow into life’s new picture without her. How blessed my life has been to have had her as a part of it. See you soon Auntie Helen.

I have many fond memories of my sister Helen, especially of her walk of faith. I remember many a conversation dating all the way back to my teen years. over the years our family spent many a weekend at their house. Yes, her house was VERY neat & tidy! One time we came to visit, bringing our small house dog. Well, dogs were not allowed in her house but since it was -40 outside and I had to go start the van numerous times, as we were heading off to bed, she said I should let the dog come in and sleep in the porch. It was at Dan & Helen’s house that I experienced my first shower - we grew up having to take a bath, showers were a novelty. How was I to know the curtain needed to be on the inside of the tub:-) Helen was not happy to see water running into the hallway LOL
Helen, I love you! I will miss you very much!!
