Obituary of Carol-Lynne Rempel

Carol-Lynne Dawn Rempel of Rosenort, MB, peacefully passed away on the evening of Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Maplewood Manor in Steinbach, Manitoba, reaching the age of 64 years.

Carol-Lynne was born to Peter and Erna Rempel in Morris, MB, on August 18, 1958. This area was her lifelong home until she went to Maplewood Manor five years ago. She attended Carleton and Rosenort schools. Upon confession of her faith, she was baptized into the Rosenort Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, by Minister Jake Bartel on December 23, 1973. She treasured her relationship with God and was a spiritual warrior until the angels took her home. She left us with a very clear testimony of her readiness to meet the Lord.

Carol-Lynne was a happy child, and loved to sing. Her go-to Bible verse for Sunday School was “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32) She enjoyed children, and was special to her nieces and nephews. Where there was a party with young or old, she wanted to be there. She loved the outdoors and nature, and enjoyed making scrapbooks and cards. She accepted her challenges, and in the process made many rich friendships. Her sister Lorraine has many happy memories of the years they lived together.

She is survived by three brothers and three sisters: Allen and Alice Rempel of Galva, KS; Lorraine Rempel of Rosenort, MB; Margaret and Dave Penner of St. Mary’s, Ontario; Doris and Roland Penner of St. Mary’s, Ontario; Merrill and Deeny Rempel of Galva, KS; Delbert and Jolene Rempel of Morris, MB. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Rempel of Grandview, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Peter and Erna Rempel, and one brother, Denton Rempel.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rosenort Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, PR 422, Rosenort, MB, with interment to follow in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a short time of sharing memories after lunch at the church.
