Obituary of Mattie Gerbrand

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mattie (Mathilda) Gerbrand, on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the age of 65.

Mattie leaves to cherish her memory siblings Frieda Gerbrand, Barb Falk , Elma Wiens (Ron), Irvin Gerbrand, Lotte Vlasblom  (Lawrence), Olga Neufeld (Derek), Irene (Jason) Plett; her nine nieces and nephews Luke, Leah, Donny, Cody, Taylor, Dylan (Kallie), Aryn  (Corbin Pasternak), Marley and Zoe and six great-nieces and nephews.

Mattie was predeceased by her parents Peter and Esther Gerbrand and her sisters Diane Gerbrand and Edna Gerbrand. 

A service will be held on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing before the service. Burial will take place at the Silberfeld CMC Cemetery following the service.
