Obituary of Sara Froese

Sara Froese, our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the age of 94 in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Born February 23, 1929, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Sara was the youngest child born to Isaak and Katharina Dyck.

Sara was married to Bernhard Froese on March 13, 1950. They were blessed with 55 years together.

They made their home in Mexico, where they lived and raised their family, first in Kronsgart and then in Campo 77, Chihuahua, Mexico. The family also lived in Aylmer, Ontario, for several years. Soon after dad died in 2005, mom moved to Manitoba, Canada.

Besides being a homemaker and raising 13 children, she spent many years serving the community as a chiropractor (“Trachmeaka”). Clients came from far away to seek help, which she did with joy.

Sara was predeceased by her husband Bernhard Froese; by her sons, Johan and Peter, and a son in infancy. As well as two sons-in-law, Abram Friesen and Pete Klassen and one great-granddaughter, Elora Froese. She was also predeceased by her parents and all her siblings.

She is survived by her eleven children, Kathy (Abe Wolf), Elisabeth Friesen, Bernhard (Tina) Froese, Anne Klassen, Helena (John) Neufeld, Jake Froese, Gerhard (Annie) Froese, Sara (Dave Giesbrecht), Isaac (Rosel) Froese, Susi (Dave Peters) and Dave (Tracy) Froese; and daughters-in-law, Maria and Tina. Also survived by 25 grandchildren, 62 greatgrandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren and their families. Together with spouses, she was blessed with a family of 145, who loved her dearly.

She will be missed.
