Obituary of Inge Froese

Inge (Bergen) Froese, 71, of Grunthal, MB., went to be with the Lord on August 2nd, 2024, at Silver Lining Care, Steinbach, MB. 

Inge is survived by her husband of 51 years, Herman Froese, son Andre, daughters Elena (Ron), Kristina (Cody), and Jennifer (Jarryd), mother Helene, brothers Neil (Sharon) and Frank, sisters-in-law Karen and Shelley, grandchildren Alora, Cadence, Tristan, Rosalie, Lillianne, James and Ruth-Anne.

She was predeceased by her father Viktor, son Dale, brothers Heinz, Helmut and Oskar. 

Inge was born in Neu-Halbstadt, Paraguay to Viktor and Helene Bergen on April 27th, 1953, and immigrated to Canada in 1961. Inge loved flowers, music, sewing and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed playing games, doing puzzles and reading, especially to her grandchildren. She loved to travel, having been on no less than nineteen cruises and she could often be seen flying down the number one highway on the back of Herman’s Spyder. She was a dedicated member of her church, serving as the church librarian as well as assuming the duties of treasurer alongside her husband. She was an avid researcher and fastidious note taker which stood her in good stead as she was bookkeeper for their farm for many years. She will be remembered for her kind, gentle, and generous spirit but most of all for her love for God and His word. 

The viewing will take place on Monday, August 5th, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB. To join the family via livestream, please click HERE shortly before the time of the service.

The interment will take place at Grunthal Cemetery, Grunthal, MB.
