Greatness is not determined by how many serve one, but rather by how many one serves. By this yardstick, my brother-in-law George Friesen was a truly great man, much greater than those who do good deeds primarily to be seen by man or those who can sway an audience with an eloquent outward display of words. George was a “deacon” in every sense of the word, a servant unto all, alway available and willing to help wherever the need was, and without partially or respect of persons. He lived his life for those things that will outlast it. His reward will be great. Until we meet again, George, farewell! Fare you well!

When I was young one of my favourite things was when my Dad took me to visit Uncle George and Aunt Judy at the farm. He was a fan favourite of mine as he always made me laugh and made me feel so welcome. My prayers and thought are with Auntie Judy and the family. I hope you all find strength in your memories.

Deepest Sympathies to Judy & family. George was a long time good friend to my Dad Henry Giesbrecht who just passed away Sept 2/22. Dad talked about George all the time and told many stories. Today they sit together and are catching up on the good old days RIP George.
