With love and fondest memories of our dear husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.... Dad was escorted peacefully into his heavenly home, surrounded and holding hands with his loving family on July 3, 2013. He leaves to cherish is memory: his beloved wife Barbra and his children: Barbie (Dwight) with Natalia and Bradley, Catherine (Tim) with Martina and Janelle, Melissa (Rodney) with Shyanne and Jesse, Darren, Nathan (Julie) with Nathania and Arland, Conrad (Melinda) and Jaydon. He was born December 11, 1952 to Joseph and Mary at Bonhome Colony. On March 24, 1974 he married his sweetheart Barbara Waldner. They spent 39 years together and raised seven children. Having grown up in a large, happy family of 12 siblings, Dad was very family-oriented and cherished each moment spent with his children and grandchildren. He dearly loved each one and was extremely proud of them all. Dad, a million times we will want you, a million times we will need you, a million times we will cry, a million times we'll speak of you, and in our hearts you will never die. If love could have saved you, you would still be with us today. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for a part of us went with you the day God took you home. The funeral will be held Sunday, July 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Springs Church in Steinbach with burial at Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will be at the church Saturday, July 6 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. If friends so desire, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses. The family wishes to express appreciation and gratitude for all the prayers, words of encouragement, cards, and expressions of sympathy received from family and friends.
