Ted, 86, of Steinbach, MB, passed away suddenly Monday, July 8, 2013 in his home. Ted was born "Thadeus" on October 24, 1926 in Cieklin, Poland and immigrated to Canada as a child with his parents and sister Millie. He grew up in Vasser, MB and married the love of his life Emma (Rozsa) on April 19, 1952 and settled in Sprague, MB. He moved with his wife and young son to Steinbach in 1972 where he worked as an independent short haul trucker and in the bush cutting pulp. Ted remained an active and vibrant man until his sudden passing. Ted will be greatly missed by his son Kim and wife Denise; two granddaughters Jocelyn and Natasha; sisters Tessie and Josie, their families and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Emma (2001); parents Stanley and Victoria; sisters Millie (Borden), Joan (Russel), and brother Henry. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 200 p.m, at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr. in Steinbach, Interment to take place at the Heritage Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Steinbach MCC Thrift Store - it was his favourite place to shop.
