With the angels standing at attention, the month of July has come to a close and Helen's life story has been signed by God Himself. "The End" Where once there were 36, now are 34 to carry on the legacy of her remarkable journey till whence that day we will all be together again. A new chapter has just begun in the lives of her children: Stan and Hildie Wiebe, Dick and Wendy Wiebe, Kathy and Philip Penner, Ann-Marie and George Penner; her grandchildren: Kim and Malcolm Crutchley, Sherri and Gordon Malmsten, Karla Therrien, Ray and Ruth-Ann Penner, Jon-Michael and Megan Penner;p her step-grandchildren: James and Chandra Penner, Christine and Courtney Berens, Jonathon and Renae Penner, her great-grandchildren: Mercedes Crutchley, Madison Crutchley, Sierra Malmsten, Mason Malmsten, Brooklynn Malmsten, Alex Therrien, Mackenzie Therrien; her step-great-grandchildren: Cailin Penner, Colby Penner, Cemara Penner, Geneava Berens, Orianna Berens and Cadence Berens. She is also survived by one brother, Pete and Tina Neufeld, one sister, Mary Blatz, one sister-in-law, Jessie Neufeld and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her loving husband Abram D. Wiebe, her parents John D. and Katherine Neufeld, step-mother Helen Klassen Neufeld, five brothers, one brother in infancy, one sister, two sisters in infancy, four nephews, four nieces, four sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law. We, her family, would like to thank the staff at Niverville Manor, Vita Personal Care Home and Bethesda Place in Steinbach, for their excellent care and compassion as the last few pages of mom's life came to a close. As one nurse mentioned to George, "Helen was not demanding. She had very specific needs and liked things, "JUST SO"! We, as a family, always joked that we had a "very high maintenance mom". Helen was all about ‘fraeting’ and ‘shpitzseering’, so the family graciously thanks all those who attended a celebration of her life on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Niverville Heritage Centre, 111 Heritage Trail, Niverville, MB. Interment at Heritage Cemetery. Heart-felt thanks also go out to Richard and Hilda Martens and Bill Dyck and the staff at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. "You are amazing". In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to enVision Foundation (2012) Inc., 84 Brandt St, Steinbach, MB R5G 0E1 or Soup Is On (Soup Kitchen food program), 20 Hwy 12 N, Steinbach, MB R5G 1B7.
