Katharina Friesen (nee Neufeld) passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 24, 2008 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, MB at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Victor Jake Friesen in 1989. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Katie (John), sons Harry (Donna), Victor (Jean), Helmuth, Peter (Diane), Jake (Brenda), Paul (Susie) and Henry (Val) as well as 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Mary Wiens, Kathleen Friesen and Margaret Krahn along with numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Mennonite Church, 345 Loewen Blvd., Steinbach, MB. The family is grateful to Dr. Krahn & the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home for their gentle & professional care given to Mom.
