It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Klippenstein at the Menno Home in Grunthal, on Sunday, August 25th, 2013 at the age of 82 years. He was born on February 15th, 1931 in the Altona Bergthal District, MB. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, two sons, Harvey (Rosie), Victor, four daughters, Brenda (Werner) Dueck, Clara (David) Martens, Shirley (Marvin) Kornelsen and Darlene Martin, four step-children, Kirk (Cathy) Czechmeister, Wendy (Murray) Shaw, Mike (Kim) Czechmeister, Keith (Toni) Czechmeister, 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, one brother, Pete Klippenstein, two sisters, Mary Reimer and Sarah Hiebert. Dad was predeceased by his first wife, Susan (Doerksen) in 1985, his parents Abram and Eva Klippenstein, four brothers, one sister and many brothers and sisters-in-law. A viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Thursday, August 29, at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the Bergthaler Church in Grunthal with Pastor John Neufeld officiating. Interment will be at the Grunthal Cemetery following the service.
