Obituary of Milo John Redbourn

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Milo Redbourn, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is predeceased by his first wife, Ferne in 1994 and brothers Edward and Henry, Left to mourn are his wife Mel, his children Lynn (Glenn), Wayne (Dawne), Tim (Terry), Kim (Robert), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great granddaughter, sisters Mae, Rose, Gladys, and Irene, nieces, nephews, extended family Mike, Chip and Shawn, and many, many friends. Milo was born in Brandon, Manitoba and lived his childhood in Cabot. He moved to Winnipeg to graduate from Gordon Bell High School. He met his first wife, Ferne and they were married November 24, 1951. Milo worked many jobs including salesman at Sears and drove taxi, but he spent the majority of his working years at CNR retiring after 37 years. He enjoyed helping his father run the steam engine at Assiniboine Park. Milo married Mel October 2, 2004 and they loved traveling. His hobbies were carpentry, curling, and golfing. He was an active member of the Charleswood Legion for many years. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. We would like to thank the Grace Hospital 3 North ward for their care and compassion during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Milo's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 – 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. A celebration of his life will take place at the Charleswood Legion Tank Room, 6003 Roblin Blvd. on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
