It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Drew Carlyle Cook of Niverville, Manitoba, at the age of 28. Drew will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ashley (nee Humphrey), parents Ralph and Dorothy, brother Drayton (Deanna), niece Annika, sister Karissa. grandparents Wesley and Martha, aunts and uncles and six much loved cousins. Drew was predeceased by his grandparents Amma and Afi Goodman. Drew was born on May 3, 1985 in Winnipeg and lived his first four years in Lundar, MB. Drew and family lived for 3 1/2 years in Canora, Sask.; then moved to Niverville in 1993. He graduated from NCI in 2003. He worked for two years in Virden, MB on the oil rigs and built lasting friendships there as well. He returned to Niverville and became an expert drywaller. Later he worked for Niverville Auto Body where he apprenticed and became a Journeyman Auto Body Technician. Drew was an avid hockey player up to and including Bantam level. He loved hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, camping and anything outdoors. Drew loved people and was incredibly kind and giving of himself and his time to help others, never expecting anything in return. The funeral service will be held Sunday, September 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at the Word of Life Church, 233 3rd St. S., Niverville, MB. Viewing will be held 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach, MB and at the church prior to the service.
