On September 10, 2013 at 6:00 a.m., peacefully with family at his side, Isaac Olfert went to be with his Lord and Saviour at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Martha (nee Penner), five daughters Dianne (Dan) Engbrecht, Karen Warkentin, Lorna (Corneil) Blatz, Maria (Alfred) Reschke and Tracy (Rick) Jabs; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers and five sisters. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Elizabeth; one sister (Helen Friesen), one brother-in-law (Henry Hiebert) and one sister-in-law Beth Olfert and one great grandson Joshua Flynn Loewen. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Sunday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held at Southland Church, Hwy 52 W., Steinbach on Monday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
