Suddenly, early in the morning on Thursday, September 26, 2013, Jean Margaret Traquair Frattinger; Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother; passed away peacefully at the age of 77 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, parents James and Jeannette, son Barry, grandson Steven and great-granddaughter Kyra. She leaves behind five daughters: Cheryle-Lynn (Noel), Melanie, Gale (Nick), Twylla and Laura-Lee (Ron); one daughter-in-law: Carol (Bob); three sons: Randy (Patricia), Pierre (Bernice) and Bruce; seventeen grandchildren: Eugene, Monique (Joe), Natasha, Colin, Steph, Matt, Kevin, Jolene, Ashley (David), Crystal (Trevor), Ryan (Michelle), Chantal, Jordan, Chloe, Corbin, Caitlyn and Coty; and six great-grandchildren: Kylie, Dalton, Blake, Tyus, Kassi and Xahra. Jean was born on December 24, 1935 in the R. M. of Archie, Manitoba. Paul and Jean began their life together in Elkhorn, and later moved to La Broquerie in 1962 where they farmed until they retired in Mitchell in 1981. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with interment at Heritage Cemetery. Viewing will be prior to the service.
