Surrounded by loved ones, Gilbert, 61, of Ste. Anne, MB, passed away on Sunday, September 29th, 2013. He leaves to mourn his wife of 17 years, Annette (Bouchard), sister Linda, sister-in-law Andrée Chénier, niece Vanessa (Marc, their children Ben and Max) Noël, two nephews Evan (Monique LeDrew) Friesen and Gabriel Chénier Demers, his cousin, Gordon (Linda, their son Todd) Demers. He also leaves behind step-children and step-grandchildren: Gisèle (Bryan) Mogan, Daniel (Gilberte, their children Brianna, Makayla and Brandsen), Ritchot and Lise (Donald, their children Alex and Justin) Normandeau. As well as, his in-laws the Bouchard family: Louise (Grant) Hood, Roger (Annette), Agathe (Aimé) Ross, Denis (Line), Norman (Monique) and all of their children and grandchildren He was predeceased by his parents, Omer and Rolande Demers, brother Don and brother-in-law Henry Friesen. Special thanks to Dr. P. Fredette, the home hemodialysis staff of Seven Oaks Hospital and his dedicated homecare attendants. Many thanks to his church families for their spiritual support and to his very special, devoted friends. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive in Steinbach, Manitoba, on Thursday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
