Peacefully in her husband’s arms, Anne Rempel, 78, beloved wife of Jake, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Besides her husband Jake, of 56 years, she leaves behind her daughter Irene of Steinbach and her son Steven (Chantal) of Kamloops, BC; son Peter (Lyla), Vancouver, BC; daughter Viola (Eric) and their son Evan of Steinbach. She is also survived by two brothers: George and Ed; five sisters: Mary, Nettie, Marge, Sadie, Helen, and their families as well as one sister-in-law Helen and her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry A. and Margaret Hiebert as well as two brothers: Hank and Peter; two sisters-in-law Doris and Sheila, and brother-in-law John. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Steinbach Evangelical Mennonite Church, 422 Main Street, Steinbach, Manitoba. Interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery.
