Obituary of Rose Gushuliak

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose Gushuliak of Steinbach formerly of Sundown, on November 7, 2013 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, at the age of 85. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Wayne his wife Darlene their daughter Angela Brandon and husband James and great-grandson Zachary; her son Wesley his wife Bonnie their children Reed (Amber) and Hayleigh; her grandson Ryan Happychuk; her granddaughter Crystal Funk and her husband Raymond great-grandson Gavin and great-granddaughter Dani-lynn. Also left to cherish her memory are 3 brothers Nick & Eva Waskul; Frank & Mary Waskul; Karol & Margaret Waskul; 4 sisters Elsie Bond; Anne Kraynyk; Edna & Jim MeLong; Mary & Nick Perchaliuk and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Nick Gushuliak, her daughter Juney Happychuk, twin great-grandsons Joseph and Nicholas; her parents Michael & Helen Waskul, brothers John & Stanley; sisters Jean Shalist & Bernice Ward. Prayer services will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m at Birchwood Funeral Chapel 150 Penfeld Drive Steinbach, MB. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sundown, MB with interment at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rose`s memory can be made to St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church P.O. Box 108 Sundown, MB R0A 2C0.
