Kristen Joiner was born on June 2, 1974 in New Westminster, BC. She passed away on November 29, 2013. She was predeceased by her sister Janet, her mother Annabelle, and her grandfather Henry. Kristen is survived by her father Mike and his wife Lyn; her three children Ester, Mikayla, and Alex; her brother Robert and sister in-law Mel; her aunts and uncles: John and Judy, Brian and Terry, Dennis and Darlene, Louise and John, Elaine and Frank, and her aunt Dawn. Kristen was a mother not only to her own children but to everyone around her. She always made sure that everyone was well fed and happy. There was never a moment when she didn’t have a hand to lend or an ear to listen. She would give advice and was the first to help find a solution to others’ struggles. She had a smile that lit up the room and was loved by many. Kristen loved spending time with her kids. Whether it was a movie night with chips and popcorn or a bonfire in the backyard. She always put her kids first. They were her main priority. Kristen was an amazing person. She will always be remembered for how much of a sweet, kind-hearted person she was. The memorial service was held on Thursday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba.
