It is with deep regret that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother and sister Anne Thordarson on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at her residence in Winnipeg at the age of 67. Anne is survived by one daughter Cindy (Bill) Budd, two grandchildren Brian and Meagan; four brothers Jake, Henry, Peter, and John; three sisters Agnes, Hilda and Katie and their families. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Agatha Poetker. Mom attended New Bothwell School and later worked in Winnipeg as a health care aide. After getting married she became a homemaker. She was kind and generous to family and friends and always had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She had a playful spirit. Her hobbies included writing stories and baking. She was a devoted, long term member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Winnipeg.
