Anna R. Friesen (nee Friesen) went peacefully into the presence of the LORD on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 at 5:15 a.m. at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, at the age of 92 years and three months. She was a resident at Rest Haven for 1 year and 9 months. Anna is survived by three daughters and two sons: Peter (Helena), Walter (Helen), Henrietta (Jake) Neudorf, Tina (Abe) Teichroeb, Anne (Dick) Hiebert; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband David D. Friesen in 1989, son David in 1964, son-in-law Peter Hamm, daughter-in-law Mary, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her parents Peter and Anna Friesen, stepmother Anna Friesen, four sisters, one brother, her parents-in-law, David and Katharina Friesen. Viewing is on Thursday, October 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the EMC Church in Blumenort, MB with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blumenort EMC Church with interment at the Blumenort EMC Cemetery. We wish to give special thanks to Dr. Krahn and Dr. Mokate and emergency staff, palliative care, the nursing and all other staff at Bethesda Hospital as well as Chaplain Larry Hirst. Also special thanks to Chaplain Bill Kehler, the nursing, kitchen, cleaning and all other staff at Rest Haven as well as all other caregivers over the last years.
