I am an old friend of Ryan's, and was part of his cell group at Southland for some time. We played a lot of ping-pong (I lost every game), and made numerous plans to golf and fish together. I have since moved around the country for my career and university, and went searching for Ryan on Facebook hoping to reconnect, and was greatly saddened to see the news of his passing. It has been approximately 9 years since I last saw him, and I guess I thought I would leave a message here because Ryan left an indelible impression on me. I would have liked nothing more than to reconnect with him and finally get in that golf game (and, hopefully, win a game of ping-pong). I'm not sure if this guest book is monitored anymore but, if it is, know that Ryan left an impact on people's lives that is still felt to this day. I'm so sorry for your loss. Jared

Ryan was an awesome friend and great substitute. Once when I was having a difficult time, he asked me what was wrong. We talked for a long time. He was more than just a teacher. I miss him a lot and as a brother in Christ I loved him a lot and always will. He will remain in my heart and memories forever!
He is safe in the arms of Jesus! Praise the Lord!

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news today. Even though I have not seen Ryan in about 7 years I have good memories of him. I will always picture him riding his BMX home from work with his suit on, it was just Ryan. I can't say that I knew him well, however, his love for God and passion for him was always visible.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Albert,Pearl and faimly at this difficult time. May God keep you close and give you peace.

Ryan you will truly be missed at our church. You never stopped growing in the Lord, and determining for Him to first in everything that you did. It seemed that everyone you met, you drew them in to yourself, where they felt comfortable and open to be "them". You were patient, genuine, honest, considerate, and always ready and willing to help anybody with anything. We will miss you and I look forward to seeing you in Heaven one day.
Ryan I am ready to die, because to die is gain! you are living the dream. I am sad and exhuberant all at the same time.

Dear Letkeman family,
You are in our prayers. Our girls say that Ryan was one of their favorite substitute teachers...in fact, the day he passed on to Glory, he was scheduled to teach in our daughter's class the next morning. Yes, Ryan's love for the Lord and for kids showed! Thankyou for raising such a wonderful Son whose life glorified God! May the Lord Jesus hold you up.
