BENJAMIN JAMES WILLIAM OAKDEN Per Ardua Ad Astra It is with sadness the family of Ben announce his passing peacefully at home with his family at his side on December 17, 2010. Ben is survived by his wife Sharon, son Ben (Debbie DeBeurs and daughter Chantel), daughters; Shanne (Laszlo), Cheryl (Chuck). Also surviving Ben are his five grandchildren: Nicole and Benjamin Oakden, Spencer Szabados, and Emma and Emerson Kitson. Also surviving is one sister, Lillian Gibson of Emerson, MB and extended family. Cremation has taken place. The Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 29th, 2011 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 100 - 6003 Roblin Blvd. The family would like to thank all of Ben's palliative care team and home care staff for their kindness and concern.
