Obituary of Roberta Diane Krysko
Roberta “Diane” Krysko (Nakka)
It is with great sadness the family of Diane Krysko announces her passing peacefully in her husband Teddy’s arms at the Villa Youville, Ste. Anne MB, on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the age of 68 years, following a lengthy illness.
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 49
years, Teddy Krysko; her son Jason and his son Byron of Winnipeg; her son Kevin (Lori) and his sons Corbin and Keenan of Birds Hill; her daughter Brigit of La Broquerie and her daughter Holly (Delmer) of Whitemouth. She is also survived by her sister Lorna (Carl) Fieldberg of East Braintree, brother Norman (Sandra) of McMunn as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Diane was predeceased by her father William “Bill” Nakka in 1987 and her mother Mabel Nakka in 2005.
Diane grew up in McMunn, MB where her parents owned the General Store, Post Office and a timber operation. Teddy first met Diane when she was two and he was six. They later became childhood sweethearts. They moved to Birds Hill after their marriage on December 24th, 1958 where they raised their family.
Diane was employed by the East St. Paul Municipal Police from 1970 until her retirement in 1996. She also spent many years working for Ludwick Catering along with her four children. After her retirement Teddy and Diane moved back to McMunn to take care of her mother, Mabel.
Diane loved her home, cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, as well as many other crafts but most of all she loved her family. Her many contributions to her family, friends and community will be greatly missed.
Prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach on Thursday, December 4 at 7:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow.
A celebration of Diane’s life will also be held at Birchwood
Funeral Chapel, on Friday, December 5 at 4:00 p.m. with a fellowship luncheon to follow. A private family service will be held this summer at the East Braintree Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the home care workers, staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital and especially the wonderful staff at the Villa Youville in Ste. Anne for their loving care and compassion. Most of all we thank Dad (Teddy) for all his years of faithful devotion and loving care.
“What a blessing it is that God takes us when we can’t take it any
more.” We love you ‘Mommy’ always and forever.
