Peacefully on May 26, 2011 at Bethesda Place, our mother and grandmother Elisabeth passed away at the age of 94. She was predeceased by her husband Peter W. Friesen in 1995, daughter Mary in 2000, six children in infancy, as well as nine brothers and sisters. Left to treasure her memory are five children, Walter Friesen, Tina (Joe) Friesen, Peter (Nettie) Friesen, John (Agatha) Friesen, Lisa Peters (nee Friesen), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a brother Pete (Norah) Kornelsen of Winnipeg. A special thank-you for the kindness of the staff at the Bethesda Hospital, and also to friends and family for all your prayers and support. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Sunday, May 29 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service.
