LEA ERMINE BERARD (nee GRATTON) 1926 - 2009 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, memere, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Lea on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Antoine (Tony) 1999, parents Hermile and Delphine (nee Nault), sister Mary Denes, brother Lou and sister-in-law Ruby Gratton and son-in-law David Danby. She leaves to mourn her four sons, George (Alexis), Eddie (Judy), Ron (Cathy), Gerald and one daughter Eveline Danby, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson, one brother John and sister-in-law Evelyn Gratton, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jackie and Ross Davies, nieces, nephews and many friends. Mom worked at St. Boniface Hospital for many years on 8A Children's Ward and ACF. Upon her retirement, she and Antoine moved to a hobby farm in Ste. Anne's, MB, where she enjoyed family get-togethers, her animals and garden. Following her husband's passing, she moved to the Villa Youville Seniors block, where she volunteered in the nursing area and made many friends. The family would like to thank Ron Davies, Sisters Margaret and Irene, her special friends Aurore and Yvette, her friends at the Villa Youville, and Dr. Lemoine and staff at Ste. Anne's Hospital for taking such good care of Mom. The family is forever grateful. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Ste.
