Obituary of Anne Friesen

It is with sadness yet peace that the Nelson Friesen family announces the passing of Anne Friesen ( Reimer) age 71 at the St Pierre Hospital on June 12,2011. Anne was born August 21,1939 in the town of Altona to Dietrich and Helen Reimer. From Altona the family moved to Winnipeg where she spent the rest of her childhood. It was in Winnipeg where she met her husband Nelson. They were married at the Altona Bergthaler Church on July 26, 1958 and spent the last 53 years enjoying time together with family and friends. They lived in Winnipeg until 1969 when they moved to Kleefeld and then in 1979 moved to Niverville where they have lived until the present. Anne cherished her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, but most of all she loved and cherished her Saviour, Jesus Christ! She is lovingly remembered by her husband Nelson, her children Randy ( Alvina) Friesen, Linda ( Ernie) Schroeder, Lana ( Myron) Dyck, Rod ( Shirley) Friesen, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her daughter Loreen, her brother Harold and her sister Martha. The funeral service will take place on Thursday June 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Word of Life Mission Church in Niverville, Manitoba with viewing prior to the service. Interment will be at Hespeler Cemetery, Niverville. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Hospital and at St Pierre Hospital who looked after Anne so well during her illness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St Pierre Palliative Program, South Eastman Health Box 88; St. Pierre, MB R0A 1V0.
