On Tuesday, March 17, 2009, Stella Chopyk went to be with her Lord at the age of 82. She was born in Zhoda, MB on March 30, 1926 to Nykolas and Mary Danylchuk and finished her earthly journey at Vita Hospital. Mom was an amazing mother, grandmother and friend. She loved the Lord and touched the lives of many. Mom cherished her family, adored her grandchildren, and held her friends dear. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Marie, Wilma (Garth), Pat (Winston), Olga, Carol and Connie (Tom) and her son John (Rose); grandchildren, Robert, Angela, Keith, Katherine, Steph, Matt, Chris, Cory, Candice, Aaron; brothers Mike, Alex (Jean) and William (Pat). She was predeceased by her husband John, two children Morris and Elsie, great granddaughter Kyra, grandson Steven, son-in-law Barry Frattinger, brother Walter Danylchuk. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach with Rev. Dr. Gregory Zubacz officiating. Interment to follow at Zhoda Cemetery.
