Peacefully, with family by her side, Mom passed away at the age of 91, at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, on June 17, 2011. She is survived by four sons: Norm, Robert (Judy), Randy (Kristina), Mel (Bev); two daughters: Carroll (Gerald) Dyck, and Lorna (Henry) Harms; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister Lena Barkman. She was predeceased by her husband Abram A. Dueck in 1986. She was also predeceased by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blumenort Evangelical Mennonite Church, with interment at the church cemetery Wednesday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Viewing will be Tuesday, June 21, at Birchwood Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m.
