April 15, 2009 after a courageous lengthy battle with cancer, Rachel, age 75 passed away at Bethesda Hospital. She is survived by her brothers: Clovis, Marcel, Edward, Wilfred (Mavis); her sisters: Leona, Denise (Peter) and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Ludwig, her parents Albertine and Alexander, and sister Alexina. Rachel was born in Woodridge, MB on August 18, 1933. She married Ludwig on October 1, 1960. Rachel had natural talents. She was capable of doing anything from woodworking and mechanics to gardening; just to name a few. She enjoyed bingos, garage sales, auctions and her dog Sandy. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Christ our Saviour Catholic Parish, 365 Loewen Blvd, Steinbach, MB. Cremation has taken place. A family ash interment will take place at a later date.
