Annie Marynowski passed away suddenly and peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach with her daughter at her side on April 23, 2009 at the age of 85. She leaves to mourn her children Bohdan (Gwen), Eugene (Marion), Paul (Marilyn), daughter-in-law Ghislaine, Rosie (Rev. Oris) and Russell; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Martha Kadobiansky. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, son Frank, daughter Mary, son-in-law William, daughter-in-law Marilyn; her parents Nick and Anna, sisters Marya Tarnopolski, Kay (Steve) Ewchuk, brothers Bill, John and Anne Kadobiansky. Annie was born in Sandilands and resided on the farm at Zhoda, MB all her life. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening, canning and her many houseplants. She loved her family very much, looking forward to weekends and all the special holidays of the seasons - Christmas Eve, Easter, her birthday and Mother’s day. She was a great cook of Ukrainian dishes – borscht, cabbage rolls, perogies, etc. She had a heart of gold. She was very kind and always shared helpful hints freely. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. K. Toews and staff at the Bethesda Hospital CancerCare, Health Sciences Centre and St. Boniface Hospital for the care and comfort provided. Prayers will be held Sunday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with interment at Zhoda Community Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
