It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Victor Krahn, on Friday, April 24, 2009 following a brief illness. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Anne Krahn; his three children: Andy, Wendy (James Falk), and Cindy (Johny Bartsch); eight grandchildren, four foster grandchildren, one great grandchild, his mother Anne Krahn, his sister Martha, and numerous other relatives and friends. Victor was predeceased by one daughter Theresa in 1967, and by his father, one sister and one brother. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional to follow at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor’s nephews: Boyd Penner, Todd Krahn, Brad Krahn, Jeff Funk, Jerome Funk and Kevin Funk. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayla Falk and Ryan Mayer. The family would like to thank Dr. Curtis Krahn and the nursing staff at Bethesda Hospital for their care and compassion during Victor’s short stay.
