Susie Martens, age 87, of Steinbach, formerly of Grunthal, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009, at Bethesda Place, Steinbach. She is survived by four sons and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Cornelius, one daughter, one son, and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 9, at 2:00 p.m., at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, Grunthal, with interment at the Grunthal Cemetery. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m., with a devotional at 7:30, and at the church prior to the service.
