It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Therese Turcotte, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Don Rondeau (Diana) and John Rondeau (Denise); sisters Gean Trashsel, Evelyne Abgrald, Lucille Patneaud, Rose Henrie (Lionel), Louise Clark (John); brother Otto Turcotte; grandchildren Skyler, Celina, and Sandra, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ron Desjardins, her parents and 8 siblings. Therese was raised in St. Laurent, but resided in Sandilands, MB. She will be most remembered for her good cheer and wonderful sense of humour. The family would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Pierre Hospital and request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the St. Pierre Palliative Program, South Eastman Health, Box 88, St. Pierre, MB R0A 1V0. A memorial service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 1-204-346-1030 or 1-888-454-1030. As per Mom’s request, cremation has taken place.
