Helen Schroeder of Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach, formerly of Winkler, Altona and Lowe Farm, passed away on July 22, 2009 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband, Diedrich Schroeder, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Marlene Wiens of Winnipeg; two sons, Dennis (Linda) Schroeder of Steinbach and Randy (Irene) Schroeder of Lowe Farm; six grandchildren, Travis (Linda) Wiens, Tanis Wiens, Russell Schroeder, Kevin (Laurie) Schroeder, Leane Harasymchuk and Melanie Schroeder; four great-grandchildren, Aidan Wiens, Kameron Scott, Connor Wiens and Mica Harasymchuk. She is also survived by sisters Jessie Toews and Sara MacDonald. A funeral service for Helen Schroeder will be held Monday, July 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Farm Bergthaler Church,15 First Ave in Lowe Farm. Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service. Interment will be at Lowe Farm cemetery. A memorial service will also be held at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Steinbach at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009.
