Surrounded by her family, Agnes Walton of Steinbach, MB passed away at Bethesda Hospital on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the age of 73. Agnes was born in Winkler, MB to Diedrich and Susie Klassen on August 17, 1936. She was predeceased by both her parents, her husband Leo Walton, brother Bernie Klassen, son-in-law Darren Sobering and great-grandson Rayden Goerzen. She is survived by her children Alex (Audrey) Walton, Acie Sobering, Christine Doerksen and Dale Jumaga; her grandchildren Carrie, Joe, Daniel, David, Donavan and Crystal. Also left to cherish her memory are her sisters Mary (Mike) Gregorish, Betty Giesbrecht, Susie (Don) Snyder and her brother Duke (Carrie) Klassen. The most important things in her life were her family, her church family, all of the people that adopted her as their Mom and her numerous pets. Her friends were truly cherished. The funeral service will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach on Monday, September 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
