Henry Ens, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather, passed away on September 13, 2009, at Bethesda Place in Steinbach, MB. Dad reached the age of 96 years, 5 months, and 13 days. Dad is survived by his daughter Erma (Isaac) Schellenberg of Steinbach, son Elmer (Margaret) of Grande Prairie, Alta., son Henry (Alice) of Mitchell MB, son Harold (Elinore) of Steinbach, daughter LaVerna (Henry) Hiebert of Emerson, MB, son Robert (Katherine) of Entwistle, Alta., 17 grandchildren and their families, 30 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Other immediate family surviving dad are sister-in-law Sarah Epp of BC, and Henry (Doreen) Epp of Steinbach, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Anna on October 13, 1978, two sons in infancy, his parents, six bothers and five sisters. The family wishes to thank the Home Care staff, the nursing staff at Bethesda Place, Dr. Minnar and Dr. Thiessen, and Dad’s friends who were there for him in his time of need. The funeral service for Henry Ens will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Fellowship Church, 417 Hanover Street, Steinbach, MB. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Memorial Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
