Peacefully, with her family at her side, Martha passed away at her residence in South Junction, MB on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. She is survived by one son Edward and her daughter-in-law Sadie. She was predeceased by her husband Ferdinand and two sons Donald and Alfred. Martha was born in Lugardia, Volhynia, Russia. She immigrated to Canada as a young girl and settled in Saskatchewan where she met and married Ferdinand Gottwald. Later they moved to South Junction where they raised their family. She remained on the same property until her passing. Special thanks to her very dedicated home care providers, who made it possible for her to pass away in her own home. At her request cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held at the Sprague Community Cemetery on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Louis Hermansen officiating.
