Helen Freund of Steinbach passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at Rest Haven Nursing Home at the age of 97 years. She is survived by two daughters, five sons and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Gottlieb in 1991, one son, one son-in-law, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Viewing will be at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, 465 Henry St, Steinbach on Monday, October 26 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If friends so desire donations may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
