Peacefully, with her family by her side, Jeannette passed away Friday, September 9 at Bethesda Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years John, son Mike (Susanna), daughter Karen, brothers Arthur (Gladys), Armand (Joan), her sister Rita (Mike), numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. Jeannette was well liked by everyone she met and was always willing to help her family, friends or anyone in need. She lived her life to the fullest with no regrets and often said she would, “do it all again and not change a thing.” She had a quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor, which she kept throughout her battle with cancer. She loved to garden and retired to the town of Marchand where she grew up. She was an active member of the community where she loved to help at many of the functions held at the community hall and around town. The family would like to thank the staff at the Bethesda Hospital for their excellent care. We would also like to say a special thank you to Dr. Reimer, the palliative care nurses Anne and Debbie as well as all her home care staff. In keeping with our mother’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
