Jacob Funk of Steinbach passed away at his residence on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the age of 80. He will be lovingly remembered by his five siblings and their families. Jacob was predeceased by his parents. For 36 years, Jacob was a maintenance worker for the town of Steinbach, finally retiring at the age of 65. He lived in Fernwood Place for a number of years before moving to the Cedarwood Apartments shortly before he passed away. The funeral for Jacob Funk will be held at the Christian Fellowship Church, 417 Hanover St., Steinbach on Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. The burial will take place at Heritage Cemetery following a fellowship lunch after the service.
