Peacefully on November 1, 2009, Dad passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the Age of 86 years. Peter is survived by his children: Alvin and Kathy (Landmark), Ernest and Joanne (Rockford, Illinois), Lorne and Ingrid (Ile des Chenes), Rose and Trav (Virden), Robert (Landmark), MaryAnn and Dave Penner (Landmark), Lorene and Murray Plett (Landmark), Lloyd and Sheryl (Landmark); three foster sons Norman, Jim, Danny and their families, and daughter-in-law Deb (Landmark). He was predeceased by his wife Lena of 59 years, son Gerald and granddaughter Shannon. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. with a devotional at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie Rose Evangelical Mennonite Church, Landmark with interment at the Church cemetery.
