Mom passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB at the age of 89 years. Tina is survived by her daughters, Tina Kauenhofen and Helen (Elmer) Barkman; her sons, John (Karen) and Peter (Gwen); 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two step daughters and their families. She was predeceased by her husbands John and Henry, two sons, her parents and several siblings. Tina was born September 17, 1920 to Jacob F. and Susanna Wiebe. On June 30, 1940 she married John P. Martens. John passed away April 3, 1971. She married Henry Derksen in 1983. He died September 23, 1993. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. with devotional at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chortitzer Mennonite Church, 479 Hanover, Steinbach with interment at the Grunthal Cemetery.
