Mary Krentz nee Schalla of Steinbach, born December 28,1923, peacefully passed away November 14,2009 at Bethesda Place, Steinbach, MB. Left to cherish her memory are, one son Raymond and Phyllis, three daughters, Judy and Harvey Fiebelkorn, Arleen and Peter Doerksen and Dorothy and Cliff Freund. Eleven grandchildren, 15 great grand children, five sisters Rosaline Guenther, Louise Falk, Pauline Reimer, Marlene Suderman, Emilie Klassen two brothers Henry and Willie Schalla. She was predeceased by her husband Emil S. Krentz in 1986. One grandchild, Colleen Doerksen and one great grandchild, Jenna Leppelmann, her parents John and Natalia Schalla, one brother Elven and two sisters Helen Roy and Alvina Rosner. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church. 465 Henry St, Steinbach with interment at the St Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Hwy 12 South.
